This sample pack and the loops contained within it are inspired by the mutated Jungle and Grime sounds that have been evolving over the last decade. These styles are rooted in experimentation, distortion, and the reshaping of rhythm through unconventional processing.
My inspirations come from underground music that began in the early 1990s with Techno and Acid House. These developed further through the 2000s with Drum and Bass, IDM, and Garage, and continued into more recent times with Grime, Sublow, and Dubstep. Each era contributed new approaches to rhythm, texture, and low-end design.
The sounds in this sample pack are characterised by heavily chopped drums and breakbeats, and well as synthetic bass lines and ambient loops. Distorted and sonically twisted in software and processed through hardware. I aimed to give the loops a raw, crusty ambience that reflects the darker styles of the music.
